Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in RSVP

I bought this cream shadow, because of its rave reviews. But  despite the title claiming that it is creaseless, I still experience creasing. Even when I use a good primer underneath, it still tends to crease by the end of the day. I do have to say that it is very pigmented and creamy, but the creasing just drives me nuts. I expected more from Benefit. I like the Maybelline Color Tattoos better than this and they're a fraction of the price. If I were you, I would skip out on this and buy those.

MAC Favs: All that Glitters Eyeshadow

You might have thought that I didn't from my other post, but I really do like MAC eyeshadows. They stay put and are very pigmented, and my all-time favorite would have to be All that Glitters. It is a beautiful light gold that looks amazing all over the lid. It literally looks great on everyone, and is my go-to for a natural everyday look.

Essence Gel Eyeliner

I definitely have a love-hate relationship with this gel eyeliner. I love how black and pigmented it is, but no matter what it always seems to smudge. I could do a perfect cat eye with this, and by the end of the day it will be down my face. I have even tried to set it with a black eyeshadow, and it still smudges! This may work amazingly for you if you enjoy that "smudgy" eyeliner look or you could even us it as a base for a super dark smokey eye. But I still think it's worth picking up to see if it works for you, because it is only $4. This eyeliner makes me want to try more products from their line.

My Secret Weapon Against Cake Face!: MAC Fix+

Shoot, you are in a rush and you just applied WAY too much powder and you look like a cakey mess! You don't have enough time to reapply your makeup so, what do you do? MAC Fix+ to the rescue. Just a few sprays on your face after you do your makeup makes your skin look like skin again. I have very dry skin, so this is a must!

Revlon Cream Blush in Pinched

I am always on the hunt for apricot blushes. They complement my fair skin very well. So when I saw this cream blush by Revlon, I jumped on it. I love the texture of this, it's so creamy and easy to apply. If you have every tried the NYX  Cream blushes, it is very similar in consistency.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils

I have always heard very mixed reviews about these, some people love them and some people absolutely hate them. I would have to say that I'm on the fence about these. On one hand, I think that they are extremely pigmented and creamy. But on the other hand, they crease like a you know what even when using a primer. They look so pretty on the eyes when first apply, but after a while it just looks like a mess. If you don't have a problem with crease and are looking for an eyeshadow base, I would pick these up. If you do have a problem with creasing, I would definitely skip these.

NARS Eyeshadow in Coconut Grove

I'm a huge fan of NARS eyeshadows, and this is one of my favorites. There are just so pigmented, it's crazy! Coconut Grove is seriously one of the most versatile shadows I own. I can use it as eyeliner or use it to make the perfect brown smokey eye. It's a beautiful cool toned brown. They say that there are dupes for it, but I can't find anything quite like it.

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner: What is wrong with you?!

Alright, if you would have asked me just 3 days ago what my favorite eyeliner was I would no doubt say Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner, but I cannot say that anymore... Yesterday, I was doing the makeup for my school play, and my friend had asked me to do winged eyeliner on her. I agreed, because I do do cat eyes pretty well if I do say so myself, but as I started to apply the eyeliner it was runny, watery and NOT BLACK AT ALL. I had just used it a few days before and it worked perfectly. It was a rich black and very easy to apply, but now it was just a mess! The color says Blackest Black, uh yeah right! A product that I thought I could depend on turned on me just like that! Unless you enjoy bipolar eyeliner, do not buy this.

Wet N Wild Lipsticks

Wet N Wild has really been stepping up their game with not only their eyeshadows, but with their lipsticks. These lipsticks don't feel drying on the lips, but they can look dry. So I prefer putting a gloss over the top. But at about $2 a pop, I can't say too many bad things about them. They are extremely pigmented and also come in a huge range of colors.

TIPS FOR PROM MAKEUP!

Everyone wants to have fun at prom, but you can't have fun if your makeup is melting off your face through all of the dancing. So these are my essentials for keeping my makeup on through all the eating, dancing and fun of prom.

1. Primer- I recommend the Smashbox Photofinish Primer. It feels so light on the skin, and it blends in so nicely. It creates a wonderful canvas to apply foundation on the skin.

2. A Long-wearing Foundation- My favorite long-wearing foundation would have to be Revlon Colorstay. It stays on all day, and it makes your skin look flawless. It has medium coverage, but is definitely buildable if you need it to be. 

3. Eyeshadow Primer- Nothing is worse in my book, than creased eyeshadow. So, this means you are going to need a primer. I recommend the NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base. It literally keeps your eyeshadows glued to your eye. But if you are still worried about your eyeshadows creasing (I know I am!), I would apply a cream shadow on top of the primer. Cream shadow wise, I love the Smashbox Limitless 15 Hr Wear Cream Eyeshadows. They are so pigmented and stay all day!

Holy Grails: NARS Multiple in Copacabana

I'll never forget that this was the first "Big girl" makeup product I had ever gotten. I really couldn't imagine life without it haha!  When you apply it to your cheek bones, it makes you look instantly glamorous. It complements my fair skin so nicely, and I don't know where I would be without it. This product gives the effect of a cream, but it has the convenience of being in a stick! I really can say enough good things about it. The only downside to this (and all NARS products) is the packaging. The matte black exterior attracts powder and other makeup products like you wouldn't believe! But if you have fair skin and love the effect of highlighters, this is for you!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Fearless

Tarte has been known for their amazonian clay blushes for quite sometime. So, when I saw that they were on sale on Hautelook, I jumped on it. I chose the shade Fearless, a bright pink coral. These are perfected pigments for a blush, and they stay on all day! Next, I think I might pick up the one in exposed, a nude pink.

Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer in Celestial

These have been out for a while, but I feel like they are worth talking about. These lip lacquers are more like a liquid lipstick than a gloss, because they are even more pigmented than the NYX Butter Glosses. They have a large variety of colors, but the one that I chose was Celestial. It's is a pinky mauve. That is a good everyday lip color.

NEW!: Revlon Highlighter in Rose Glow

During this time of year, the drugstore is coming out with all new products. As I was looking around at my local CVS, this really caught my eye, because it reminded me of a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick I have been wanting. I really love multipurpose products like this. I could use any of the shades as eyeshadows. If I want more of a blush, I can use more of the pink shades. Then if I feel like my face is looking a little flat, I'll use more of the champagne colors to get a beautiful highlight. All of the shades are pretty pigmented. It could be a little creamier, but for the price I can't complain.

I Don't Get the Hype: MAC Naked Lunch

Whenever I watch a My Top 10 MAC Eyeshadow video or something like that on Youtube, they always seem to mention the shade, Naked Lunch. Now after I heard all the hype about it, I HAD to go and buy it. But little did I know at the time, This would be one of the most regretted makeup purchase of my life (so far). This color does not show up on my skin whatsoever unless I really dig my finger into it and layer it up, but considering it's a MAC eyeshadow I expected better. I don't know if it's my fair complexion or what, but it just does not work for me!

Cult Favorites: Stila Kitten Eye Shadow

Stila is known for their signature shade Kitten. It's a beautiful champagne color. It is also one of the most creamy and pigmented eye shadows I have ever used! Lucky for you if you love Kitten just as much as I do, Stila makes other products in the same shade. Moral of the story: if you collect makeup at all, you need this in your life!

MAC Favs: Groundwork Paintpot

This is probably one of the most overlooked MAC products of all time! In the container it just looks like a boring warm brown cream eyeshadow, but when you apply it to your eye and blend it into the crease it gives gorgeous dimension to the eye. If I'm in a rush I just put it on with my finger and throw on some liner and I'm out the door. It's really one of those foolproof products.
